Cold diminishes mental capacity

27/10/2009

Last week has been pretty horrible: I caught a pretty bad cold or possibly the flu, again. Symptoms ranged from a very sore throat to shivering almost uncontrollably in a supermakert isle (hopefully I wasn't contagious by that stage). I have no idea whether this was the swine flu or not, but if I could get my hands on the vaccine, I'd take it without hesitation. Anyway, during the period of feverish inactivity, it became a real concern to me that I could not follow the plots of daytime television programmes such as Murder, she wrote, and exlaiming to the television: Mrs Fletcher, you are a genius.
