Each year, there are certain sporting events that I would like to attend and watch at the venue. Other than cricket at Lord’s or the Oval, the two sporting events that I would not like to miss are the Boat Race and tennis at Wimbledon, mainly because I live close to Putney where the Boat Race starts, and a few minutes’ walk from the tennis courts. The Boat Race is today, starting at 6PM, and the weather does not look all that great as the sky is distinctly whitish grey as I look out my window, though neither too cold nor rain is forecast, and usually I would go whatever the weather. However, I have been feeling a bit poorly for the past couple of days, and I am not sure if my stomach can stomach standing around for a couple of hours, so this year, sadly, I will have to watch the race on television.
