Ah, I wish I had put down a tenner on the Netherlands beating England in cricket at Lord’s. It would have been typical of bets I place, a joke, a converstaion starter, and I regret I had not done so. I was too busy mulling over how long Mr Brown would survive as Britain’s prime minister.
The Dutch papers seem to be somewhat bemused by the sensational victory of their team over England.
