Photographs Brussels Hôtel van Eetvelde

Designed by a renowned architect of the Art Nouveau period, Victor Horta, this house was built between 1895 and 1898 for Edmond van Eetvelde, the governor-general of the Belgian Congo. Like other buildings of the Art Nouveau period, the exterior and the interior share the same concept, and cotinues from one to the other, from one material to another. In order to view the interior of the house, which is highly recommended, you will have to take part in a tour, run by organizations such as ARAU (www.arau.org).
