Santander Cycles is the bicycle hire scheme run by Transport for London. Bicycles can be rented and returned at many docking stations across London. Depending on the location, there may be no bicycles to rent or the docking station is full that bicycles cannot be returned. To avoid that situation, bicycles are redistributed throughout the day. At a docking station near Charing Cross, bicycles are being loaded on to a van.
