Snapshots Animals Grey squirrel

Known as rats with good PR and bushy tail, grey squirrels are an invasive non-native species in Britain. In London they have completely replaced the native red squirrels, and I doubt there is a way to revese the process. Like foxes and ring-necked parakeets, grey squirrels are now an established part of London urbanscape. While I do not actively feed them, I have to admit that I enjoy watching these critters.

About this photograph

This photograph was taken in London during the lockdown due to coronavirus. Cooped at home, I decided to take a closer look at the wildlife visible from my window and balcony. I have been pleasantly surprised by the diversity.
