Of all photographs I have taken recently, flowers account for a pretty large proportion. Perhaps the reason being that it is almost always possible to find something in blossom at any point of the year, and that there are so many varieties in shape, colour, and scent. I have attempted to edit and crop images of flowers into the following sizes. Images in this section are free to use under Creative Commons licence CC BY 4.0.
2560 × 1440
Large 16:9 images that can be used as screensavers, wallpapers, and cover photos.
960 × 540
16:9 images that can be used as screensavers, wallpapers, and cover photos for smaller screens, resolutions, and dimensions.
851 × 315
Images that are cropped exactly to the size of the cover photo for Facebook timelines.
940 × 180
A wide banner that can stretch across the page: useful as a header, for exmaple.
955 × 320
Roughly 3:1 in terms of width:height ratio, and as such quite close to the ratio for LinkedIn’s cover image. Suitable for other uses such as header images for blogs.
2048 × 2048
Large square suitable as wallpapers for mobile devices such as tablets and computer screens.
512 × 512
Images in square, which can be used as profile pictures or avatars, as well as for illustrative purposes on websites and blogs.
660 × 990, 660 × 1100, 660 × 1188
Images in portrait in three sizes: 660 × 990 (2:3), 660 × 1100 (3:5), and 660 × 1188 (5:9). These images should be suitable as the background or wallpaper for smartphones that use portrait images.
